"Oh Great Grandma Jane sent me this lovely dress! And I do love it so! Papa made sure my feet stay toasty with my pink booties and says I look like a Swedish Miss Priss! Momma laughed and agreed! Happy New Year to everyone."
Wee Ferg attempted to stay up to see the ball drop...but alas her sweet eyes got red and thumb lulled her to sleep.

Lucille! It was so fun to look at your pictures. I do think it is a good thing for a baby to be witty such as we are. I hope that I can come to Colorado to meet you someday. (You are invited to come to North Carolina, too. You can even bring your parents.) Mommy tried to put me to bed before New Year's, but I showed her. I woke up at about quarter til, so I could be a part of the festivities. I didn't want to miss out on anything! Maybe next year for you. Love, Kate
